Leighton Asia is the CIMIC Group’s construction focused business in Asia.
Established in 1974, for five decades, Leighton Asia has delivered significant infrastructure and building projects across Asia.
From Discovery Bay and the Tuen Mun Reclamation in Hong Kong in the 1980s, through to various iconic projects such as Central Reclamation Phases III, and Conrad Resort and Spa in Koh Samui in the 2000s.
In the 1980s and 1990s, the company expanded into Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia and now also operates in Indonesia and Singapore, with renowned projects including the new Australian Embassy Compound in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In 2013, Leighton Asia acquired Welspun Group's stake in Leighton Welspun, renaming the business Leighton India.
