Integrated resort complex in Macau

Leighton Asia and its partner were key members of a joint venture responsible for the fast-track construction of City of Dreams.

The iconic integrated resort includes 600,000m2 of developed floor space, four luxury hotel towers, a 40,000m2 casino, retail and dining outlets and two theatres, one of which featured the largest water show of its kind in the world.

About 40,000 tonnes of structural steel, 40,000 tonnes of steel reinforcing and 11,000 glass façade panels were used in the construction of the massive property.

The scale and scope of the project also required a purpose-built six-level Energy Centre to house power substations, a central cooling plant and emergency generator.
